IVD utility continues to find strong medical support and with the pressure on healthcare systems for accurate and early disease diagnosis, the markets in which Axis-Shield operates are rapidly expanding and we are confident that the Company is well placed for future growth. We will continue to explore opportunities to acquire businesses which complement our core activities.

Since the company was taken over by Alere, it has been in a process of transition and restructuring , with the corporate activities of Axis-Shield being no longer required after de-listing on 22 November 2011. The site will soon be revised to reflect this but the company's products are still very much in demand and there has been no interruption in product quality or supply.
